January's Book

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday...Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year. It has been that long since we have all met. It's time that we get together again! First things first Aubrey has picked the book for January. For those who still read this blog, the book has already been posted on FB check it out. The book is "The Left Hand of Darkness" by Ursula K. Le Guin

Book club will be held at Julie's house this month. We will hold book club tentatively on the weekend of the 21st or 22nd. One of us will let everyone know! Until then, hopefully a few of us will read the book. :)

December Book (Tonya's pick)

I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone and it's already December. It feels like once we get to October things just start to accelerate. I want it to slow down just a bit. Thank you Becca for hosting book club and our first How to Host a Murder party for book club. We all had a blast. The costumes were all fun, and most of us had a hard time figuring out who the "murderer" was. We will definetly have to do this again.

This month's book is a pick by one of our new members Tonya. I know Tonya is a big fan of Louis L'Amour, so it's only fitting that she choose The Walking Drum. Most of you may think this is a western and we have not read a western before, but you would be wrong this is an adventure story....but there are horses. :) I love that we have a wide variety of books we have read so far for book club.

Have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season! May God bless us every one!

November Book "And Then There Were None" Agatha Christie

I would normally thank the host in this post, but since I hosted I will pass that and move on. As always we had a fun book club, but missed a few of our regulars this month.

So this month's book is Rebecca's pick. She and Ashley switched. The book is "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. It's a murder mystery appropriate for our How to Host a Murder mystery dinner party on November 20th. Rebecca has handed everyone their parts, and those that don't have parts need to come (dressed up in 1930's clothes) dressed as spectators/dinner party guests. Yes, we need you too.

Here are the details

November 20th
5:00pm (this is a somewhat lengthy game)
Rebecca's house

This is going to be so much fun!
