March Book and Bio

This Months Book: Ashley's Bio:
I am married to Joe, who is currently serving with the Army in Kuwait and is scheduled to be home in February. We live in Utah with our dog, Inga. I am a Registered Nurse working in an ER at a local hospital. I'm really excited about this book club because I am always looking for good books to read and people to discuss them with. I love hearing the different reviews that people give about books that I have read. It is hard for me to choose just one favorite book because it always seems to be challenged when I read another book that I end up loving. However, one book that has remained a top one on my list is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I just finished reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It was so fantastic and I recommend it to everyone! I love anything Jane Austen and really loved Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. The list goes on and on.I'm really excited to get to know everyone in the book club and hear what everyone has to say about the books we read.

  1. I have already finished this book, and I give it 5 stars. It's a tragic heartbreaking story that has really opened my eyes to the conditions that women went through in Afghanistan. How Afganistan used to be a flourishing country, that was completely turned upside down by extremists. I am so grateful to be a women in the United States. Read this with a box of tissues.

  2. I just finished this book and loved it. It was so beautifully written. I first read the Kite Runner by the same author and was impressed with his ability to bring you into the scene and actually visualize the characters and have an emotional attachment to them. He did it again in this book. It was so sad but I'm happy with how it ended.

  3. The book was great, and every American woman should read it and realize how great we have it to live it this country. We may have our problems, but there is no greater country than the United States of America.
